Rules

  1. Breeder WeighinsJoint ownership is considered to be as one (1) owner in accordance with registration papers.
  2. Youth exhibitors may exhibit one commercial female provided exhibitor is not exhibiting any purebred registered breeding animal.
  3. Exhibitors may exhibit one animal per class.
  4. Market Steers must weigh 800-1400 lbs
  5. Each exhibitor showing a market steer is to have the livestock sale committee’s appointed people come to their home to have a pre check completed to determine if the animal handles well enough to be brought to the fair.

DAIRY-FEEDER STEER RULES

Dairy-Feeder Show will be held Wed. at 9:00 a.m.

  1. Feeder WeighinsExhibitor is limited to one (1) Dairy-Feeder Steer. (Must be Synder County 4-H or FFA Member)
  2. Calves must be born after Jan. 1st and before Mar. 31 st of the fair year.
  3. Dairy Feeder Steers must be 100% dairy breed bloodline.
  4. Calves not castrated by time of tagging on May 15, 2010, will be castrated at that time. They must be free of testicular tissue and healed to show at the fair or WILL BE SENT HOME. All animals are subject to be checked at time of fair weigh-in.
  5. Dairy Feeder Steer calves must be naturally polled or dehorned.
  6. Notify Liz Hollenbach or Steve Herman of animals to be tagged.
  7. Dairy Feeder Steers must weigh 300-600 lbs. by fair weigh-in.
  8. Dairy Beef must contain 100% dairy blood line from the major breeds, Holstein (both black & white and red & white), Jersey, Guernsey, Aryshire, Milking Shorthorn, Brown Swiss, and Line Back.
